Kāpō Māori Aotearoa awarded National Hauora Māori Partners Innovation and Sustainability Fund grant

This month, Kāpō Māori Aotearoa (KMA) was awarded with a National Hauora Māori Partners Innovation and Sustainability Fund grant (2022/2023). Te Aka Whai Ora are proud to be able to mihi the important mahi KMA do to support tāngata whaikaha Māori and whānau in the health and disability service provision. 

KMA Chief Executive, Chrissie Cowan said, “This grant will enable Kāpō Māori Aotearoa to dedicate resources to tāngata whaikaha Māori and whānau governance, leadership, program and service innovation and continual improvement of organisation wide quality systems."

"Assisting and supporting tāngata whaikaha Māori and whānau to realise their potential and having robust and responsive internal systems that can pivot with the evolution of the new health and disability systems are key strategic priorities for our organisation. With the backing of Te Aka Whai Ora we are able to move forward and progress both.”
