Kia ora,

In 2018, after sustained pressure by accessibility advocates like you, the government committed to designing an approach to achieve a fully accessible New Zealand, including how legislation could help achieve this.

It’s now time for the government to make good its commitment. We’re calling for the introduction of an Accessibility Act in 2020 and we need your voice.

You’re are invited to the #AccessLaw2020 Forum to find out how we can take action collectively to make 2020 the year for Accessibility. Bring your friends and whanau and help make history!

When:

Tuesday, October 29, 5.30pm: networking, nibbles and drinks. Presentation starts at 6.15pm – 8.30pm

Where:

Blind & Low Vision NZ (formerly The Blind Foundation), the cafeteria, Ground Floor, Awhina House, entrance through the Parkside entrance 545 Parnell Rd, Parnell.
Metered street parking is available nearby in Maunsell and Titoki Streets, and is free after 6pm.

What:

Access Matters Campaign Coordinator, Dianne Rogers will be outlining our plan to achieve an Access Law in 2020 then we will break out into groups to start taking action.
