As a person with low vision, the following are frequent barriers for me and other visually-impaired Kiwis ...
-
Poor lighting in buildings, making it too dim.
-
Dark carpets, which are hard to see.
-
Tiny text fonts on forms, menus, notices, and so on.
-
Steps that don’t have a strip of white paint on the leading edge to identify each one.
-
A general lack of hand-rails.
-
Lifts which are dark and small.
