What We Do
Access Matters Aotearoa promotes the rights, participation, and inclusion of individuals with access needs by enabling cross-sector collaboration, influencing legislation and policy, raising public awareness, and advocating for full implementation of Article 9 of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (UNCRPD).
Accessible Futures
Accessible Futures brings together disabled leaders, researchers, think tanks and government officials to address the cost of excluding disabled people, whānau and carers by connecting the disability sector, research organisations, and government.
Kōrero for Change
Join experts, law makers, professionals and disabled people in our latest Kōrero for Change. Come along to learn all about disabling experiences in different areas of life, and what we can do to remove barriers.
Accessibility for All Campaign
Every New Zealander should be able to learn, work, travel, and take part in community life without barriers.
Without clear rules for accessibility, at least one in six of us , continue to be excluded from places and opportunities others take for granted.
An accessibility Bill gives us the chance to set strong, fair standards that benefit everyone.
Let’s open the door to Accessibility for All and build a future that works for everyone.
