I have experienced access barriers at Pukekura Park, New Plymouth. The signage in the park is very, very poor.
It is very hard to read and hard to even locate the signs.
I want the new access laws to ensure that all signage has good contrast and big enough letters, so people with low vision can read them and then use them.
This is a story about the barriers many face. We're sharing it because we want a law that puts accessibility at the heart of an inclusive Aotearoa New Zealand.
