#AccessLawNow - Take Action

We can all play a part in putting legislation at the heart of a fairer and more inclusive Aotearoa New Zealand.

Now is the right time for an Accessibility Act. We need to make sure politicians of all stripes hear our collective call for #AccessLawNow.

We need your help to get this done - can you volunteer to:

  • Write to your local MP?
  • Visit your local MP?
  • Be a social media amplifier, by sharing Access Matters Facebook posts?
  • Talk to people in your community/local networks about supporting the campaign?
  • Write to local media about access issues in your area?

This colour photo was taken after a very successful meeting with accessibility advocate Mike Granger to discuss his access needs as a member of the Deaf community in NZ and Labour MP Phil Twyford with two other accessibility advocates Taryn Banks and Katy Thomas as supports for Mike
