SAMS (Standards and Monitoring Services)

SAMS Vision: A Self-determining and Mana-enhancing Society.

SAMS Mission: To provide evaluation, education, research and other service development services that effectively enable people with a disability and their families to participate in the creation and maintenance of high quality disability services in New Zealand.

SAMS is governed by disabled people and families. In 2018, 80% of our trained and experienced evaluators, facilitators and educators are disabled people or whanau members. In addition to evaluation work, SAMS operates the Care Matters service. Care Matters is the national learning and well-being resource service for carers associated with the disability support system.

SAMS supports the work of the Access Matters campaign.
